Being healthy is the best way to live, you feel better, you look better and you have more energy to get up and go do something with your life.
My boyfriend and I have been eating nothing but unhealthy junk food for years and we are both starting to get tired of it. I suffer from incredibly painful migraines and my boyfriend works 12 hour nights with nothing to keep him going but strong energy drinks like, Redbull and food like Tacobell.
Lately we have been noticing that food doesn't taste like it used to. Its no longer good, we no longer crave and we can never decide what to have for dinner because nothing sounds good anymore.
But today I will only talk about one of the diet changes I've recently made.
Breakfast.
I am the type of person that when I wake up in the morning I must have food or I get light headed, migraines and continue to spend the day in bed feeling shitty. I seriously have no clue how some people go without breakfast.
So I have been doing a lot of research and watched tons of videos on morning smoothies! I love smoothies and some of the ingredients I saw being used I thought would made the drink bitter and unpleasant. I decided to give it a try anyways and was surprised at how good it actually was! I could definitely see starting the day with this smoothie and mix it up with some other flavors as well.
Recipe
- Handful of fresh spinach
- 2 frozen bananas
- Spoonful of vanilla+honey Greek yogurt
- Splash of milk
- Blend until light and creamy
- Enjoy!
This drink is filling, surprisingly good and refreshing. Very flavorful and a million times healthier than the applejacks I always grab for breakfast.
